Online Ad Competition
The Online Ad Competition is a creative design contest hosted by The Advertising Project to challenge creative minds in the Laurier community. Each year, TAP partners with an industry giant to present a creative, relevant challenge to all participants. The competition is run entirely online and is a niche opportunity for Laurier students to work hands-on, challenging themselves to create something amazing.
65 Roses is The Advertising Project’s annual flagship charity event in partnership with Shinerama. The name is derived from the children who have Cystic Fibrosis and learn to pronounce the disease by saying “65 roses”. On Valentine’s Day, TAP curates a package of creative Valentine’s Day cards, roses, and treats to sell to the Laurier community. All proceeds raised from the event go towards Cystic Fibrosis Canada, a cause that is close to every Laurier Golden Hawk.
Every year, The Advertising Project collaborates with an advertising agency based in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region or the GTA. The day-long excursion provides an opportunity for students within the Laurier community to network with creative individuals responsible for ads and campaigns created for industry giants. This amazing annual opportunity allows students to learn about how ads grow from inception to what is seen in the media!
AdWeek is an intense, week-long initiative by The Advertising Project which features advertising-focused events like workshops, case competitions, and speaker panels. Each day, TAP aims to provide value to all students interested in marketing and advertising with each event.
